Google's New SearchWiki a Haven for Spam
Google's launch of its new service last Friday has immediately fallen victim to spam. SearchWiki, a tool which allows web users to personalise their Google search results by re-ordering, deleting or adding sites, includes a comment system which has opened the door for abuse.

It is disappointing to see serious search results polluted with strings of inane banter. This certainly detracts from Google's overall goal to improve the user experience, so lets hope they take action before it gets worse.
A fairly hidden link at the bottom of the new search results page, "See all notes for this SearchWiki" is where the problem lies. This 'wiki' has meant anyone can leave a comment about any site they want, which of course has resulted in instant misuse.
When searching for TechCruch and choosing this link for example, the following comments are displayed:
